We did both the photography and videography for Shawn and Caitlyn's beautiful wedding. In the lead up, Caitlyn told us the type of shots she was after and we discussed her schedule and locations to best meet her expectations. Let's start at her family home in Ferntree Gully, where Caitlyn and her bridesmaids were getting ready. Love those personalised coat hangers!
Shawn and the boys were nearby in Wantirna South at his family home. They were a barrel of laughs and pretty relaxed, so we went for a walk down an Eastlink trail for some outdoor shots.
The Carousel which overlooks Albert Park Lake is a great venue for a wedding! With its beautiful deck and sweeping views of the Melbourne skyline it's easy to see why Shawn and Caitlyn chose The Carousel. But what completes the scene is the floral cross that one of the groomsmen's dads built! On the video, you'll hear the vows they made on the waterfront on this mild summer day. There were lots of smiles that you'll see from our drone group photo!
Bramleigh Estate is set in the Warrandyte Hills about an hour away from The Carousel. We needed to find a few good photographic locations between the two venues which was a challenge seeing that we'd be passing through largely suburban Melbourne. But that's what makes these shots so special. Especially on the video where you'll see gorgeous aerial footage of Caitlyn in the tall grass. It's hard to believe we shot those beside a bike trail in Glen Waverley.
Then it was on to Bramleigh Estate, which is a relatively new reception venue, a sister site to the established Bramleigh Receptions. What an awesome space, so bright and fresh. We grabbed more great photos out the back on the hillside.
Make sure you check out Shawn and Caitlyn's wedding video as it complements the album perfectly and captures so much more of the emotion and fun than photos do. Getting us to do both your wedding photography and videography makes sense as our team works together to ensure that all locations and the schedule are ideal for both photo and video. We don't compete with each other for the perfect shot. We're on the lookout to help each other achieve it.
