If you're familiar with the Dandenong Ranges, you'd know that Sherbrooke is arguably the most beautiful area on the mountain. Along Sherbrooke Road you'll find the ever popular Piggery Cafe, soon to house the longest chicken run in Australia! Beside that, the Alfred Nicholas Gardens, with its meandering paths, forest lake and bridges, makes for a perfect wedding photography location. Amongst this company of acclaimed venues, and a few bends further along the same road, the delightful Marybrooke Manor stands tall.
Steeped in old-world charm and acres of manicured gardens, Marybrooke Manor is an excellent venue especially if you're planning an outdoor wedding. A stone staircase leads guests down to the open ceremony lawn below with a gazebo at one end for the bridal party. In the event of bad weather, Marybrooke Manor has an indoor chapel upstairs which can host up to 200 people.
The grounds of Marybrooke Manor are great for your wedding photography as there are numerous character-filled locations which provide wonderful backdrops. Because it's all at the one venue, you won't need several hours of photography between your ceremony and reception. We can capture all your beautiful outdoor wedding photos without driving around and achieve this while your guests are relaxing, having canapes and drinks. Marybrooke keeps guests entertained with croquet, horshoe pitching, and nothing beats playing a giant set of Jenga in the evening sun!
As professional wedding photographers, we're always thrilled to find a location that offers a variety of photographic environments. For example, we can create contrast between natural forest styles with group photos on neat lawns. We can pose the bridal party by rustic seats, stone walls, or by the pond. Lots of options all within walking distance. Directly across the road is the George Tindale Gardens for an even greater variety in your photos.
As the night approached, it was time for the reception and Marybrooke Manor delivered excellent cuisine. Their reception service is excellent, with great food! The dining hall is a little on the small side which will seat up to 80 guests comfortably. Any more and things start to get a little congested, especially if you'd also like to use the dance floor. The manor also has accommodation for your interstate or overseas guests, or if you just don't feel like leaving after the celebrations, you can stay there too! The staff are always friendly and helpful and will ensure you and all your guests have a wonderful time, so visit the Marybrooke website and call them today to arrange a tour and you won't be disappointed!
We'll help you with your wedding photography, and because we're familiar with all the best angles and hidden spots at Marybrooke Manor, we can uniquely capture each moment of your special day at this beautiful location.
